    Hallo und Wilkommen Jens

I think we're pleased to have some international experience joining our forum.
As you can read the most of us are fishing on the dutch rivers Waal and IJssel
and only few (Barb-Addicted) are successfully fishing barbel at the Dutch Rein.
Please feel free to give your opinion on any questions.
After all we're are here to tell about our experiences about this magnificent fish.

    Best regards
    Met vriendelijke groet,

    Marcel (Vis)Pomp

Hello Jens and welcome on this National Fish Forum.

It's nice to meet people with the same interest, another language or other country should be no problem for the most of us.
The translation you've used is a direct translation, some words wil translated in another context, so that is not always an option.

It's better to use the language of the world, Englisch, 90% of the people know it.
I've readed your translation, but some words are not translated properly.
Some words make no sense like the next rule :

but i don`t have a solution for translate my threats in dutch

      after translation to dutch :
heeft een oplossing voor mijn bedreigingen in het Nederlands vertalen

The undelined word in the dutch means something different beacause of the direct translation from englisch.

It's better to use only the language you'll know, englisch or german.
There is no program known that translate properly.
You'll get misunderstandings an more ,.....that is not the meaning .

      Keep it simple, .....

      No hard feelings

          Welkom Jens!

It's nice to have some foreign experience on this board! I'm very interested in barble fishing in the German rivers. Maby next year i will make a trip to Germany or Belgium to catch some barbel. What are the best rivers in Germany? I'm thinking about Moezel, Rhein or Donau but i think that there are many more hotspots over there?

By the way, very nice barbel site! I'll put your site on the link list on my site!

          Kind regards,

          André

@wolf: OK, i`ll never will be translate my not perfect english in dutch
The item that you want me to explain is a horn, that make a 130db loud noise. for sure it is deliver in dutch coloures .
I use it to avoid rower to swim through our lines. It seems that they are not so intelligent, to remember that we sit and fish in a place. So it can happen that they cross your line by driving by at the 3rd time. But since I use this horn, I`ve never had problems any more :-). Warning: It`s not only loud for rower ears, safe your own when using it

@rinko: Thank`s you have a nice site too. First I see that you are using an unhooking mat as I do. But not a lot of Germans use this. What about other colleagues in your area?

@pumpy: Can you send me a picture from the dutch rhine?

@firesma: You have mentioned the best rivers in germany . But i would prefer the Rhein. Sure it`s my homezone, but we had really a lot of barbels. The biggest barbels are catched in Speicher Ismaning near Munich. Its a Lake. Look here for the barbels: http://www.fisch-hitparade.de/fischh...l/6-barbe.html

@collin: yes our site has a forum too, but it is a very small one, that doesn`t compare with NHSF. But for our purpose its ok

                    Hello Jens!

Of course, welcome to this forum! I've been fishing in the Danube (Passau) and caught my first barbels ever there! Since that time (last summer) I have the 'barbel-disease'! The population of barbel is growing and growing the last few years and anglers in Holland noticed this as well!! Hope you can find your way out at this forum! Otherwise, just ask us!

                    Kind regards Bas
